Subaru

For Joseph like many young men in Kenya...Subaru is a wow car brand. It appeals to those who are looking for the adrenaline that comes with speed. It also delivers on comfort and its value for money given its efficient fuel consumption....

  3. I love our Subaru as it gives top-knotch performance and yet does not break the bank. The engine performance is amazing, the pick and sheer muscle power at your feet is exhilarating. The deceleration ability is just as competent as the acceleration and this gives you the security and comfort to enjoy 'The Beast' as we call it. The fuel efficiency has a direct relationship with the driving speed and delivers normal efficiency for normal driving but the car is a guzzler when you push the engine hard. It is very maintenance friendly and for as long as you treat your Subaru right, it will reciprocate in terms of performance and reliability. For the 'younger' car owner, it also has badge value as your Dad probably does not own one :)

  4. I agree with Kiongo's and Ann Joy's comments above. Subaru has, over time, shed off the tag of "young man's car". Many will associate Subaru with a big exhaust and a loud muffled sound... but not anymore. Subaru made its mark in Kenya when made its debut in the World Rally Championship at the Safari Rally in 1980. Since then hoiusehold names in motor sport have driven this iconic brand. In Kenya big names like the legendary Shekhar Mehta (whose family stills owns the Subaru dealership in Kenya),Mike Kirkland and Patrick Njiru all drove Subaru's. Other drivers to sit in the cockpit of this WOW car read like the Roll of Honour of World Rally Championships and include Ari Vatanen, Richard Burns, Colin McRae (RIP), Carlos Sainz, Juha Kankunnen, Peter Solberg and Tommi Makinen. The modern Subaru models have left the Subaru enthuthiast spolit for choice.... Impreza, Legacy, Outback, Tribeca name it. What I would want for birthday?.... the Impreza, WRX STI 2011 model to be precise!
